RE: Fuel pump noise.

Just out of curiosity, how long has been since you replaced it? From previous discussions on the list, it certainly seems that these filters are more troublesome than your average fuel filter. I've never done the external filter modification as I felt that it wasn't that big of a deal at 24000 mile intervals, but if there are high odds of having a failure on the road, then the external filter makes a whole lot of sense.

Thanks Ed. Out of three replies so far, two have said it was the filter.
I'll add that to my maintenance agenda.

This happened to me also. It was the fuel filter. Noise went away
when it was replaced.
