Re: Still more on Beta bikes

Yes, Gary, there is more. The horizontal running of the bike was caused by
a get-off that resulted in bumps and bruises for me (plus an uncomfortable
ride to the emergency room where I had to fight to save my leathers) and a
new front end for my beta bike...and 10K miles later a new short block...all
due to a momentary lapse of attention while riding in traffic. I just had
to check out that car wreck to my right while those in front of me were
stopping! Oops, oh sh!t, bang!

Bob Silas and I are meeting for coffee tomorrow or Thursday. I'll check out
his serial number for the list. I've only seen one number lower than mine,
but there are four score of them out there somewhere.
