I run 89 Octane Chevron in my 2000 GS, without pinging. Spark plugs
look beautiful when I check them, I don't think I need to run 91
Octane if there's no pinging at 89.
Even with all the oil I consume (1.5 liters per 1000 miles) the plugs
are fine, go figure.
