WWWobble reports on a ride to Mt Diablo. Chris provides more commentary and some pictures.
Al says that there’s supposed to be 1-2 feet of snow in Buffalo today. Glad we’re on the other side of the continent where it’s prime riding season.
Bob’s Anti-rain device was in fine form fitted to his BMW, working much better then it did when fitted to his Honda. This day’s ride had dry roads and temps in the 60s. Not bad for the end of November.
A group of four braved the elements to ride in the fog and rain. Chris tells his tail of woe as to why he had to back out at the last minute.
Second try: October ride to Mt Hamilton. The first try was a dud!
Another ride to the North. Highlights are Fairfax-Bolinas road, Mt Tam, and a stop at the Tides in Bodega Bay. Participants were Chris, Bob, Rob, and Marc.
The Major and Marc meet Darryl in Watsonville for brunch, a visit to BMW Scruz, and a trip to the other end of the dirt road we didn’t traverse last ride.
WWWobble suggests a short ride for the start of spring. About 190 miles later I got home. We didn’t push it, though, taking 8 hours to get there and back. Where was “there”? South. Around Mt Madonna in Santa Cruz. Fun.
Chris, Randy, and Marc took a mid-week ride. Chris says:
It was a morning of occasional showers which gave way to a spectacular
afternoon. Our initial intent was to motor Marin County but having
lost our local ‘guide’ we followed Randy’s suggestion that we head over
Middletown ‘way’ (Lake County) and proceeded to do so. This ride
included an unintended 26 mile ‘Wendy’ (a U-turn) which’ll be explained in
the report.
