It only seems like forever since the last mid week ride. There were a few over the last 5 months, but apparently no one took pictures or wrote a report. Vacations and BMW national rallyes have been known to get in the way, too. But that is over and done with.
WWWobble took some pictures
Dick took some pictures, too
Chris reports the following regarding today’s ride
There was a Mid-Week Ride Today…
Perhaps most notable were the non-attendees… Let’s see, Dick Zunkel, Bob Burns (aka Major Wobble), Larry Williams and yours truly! Everyone was late for breakfast! That Wobble whimp was the first into the restaurant parking lot, but he hadn’t gassed-up, a mere 20 minutes late. We rode up to the N. end of Healdsburg and turned for a stop at the fish hatchery (Steelhead) below the dam at Lake Sonoma. We took a whirl-wind tour where I was able to score points with the lady of the house - this by purchasing a lady-bug ring! Expensive! Set me back a whole dollar…
On the road to Lake Sonoma
Today’s ride didn’t cover more’n about 210 miles - Pacifica to Pacifica, but it WAS scenic and mostly new roads for both Larry & Dick. This made it worthwhile in its own right… George Ruper should remember some of this…wasn’t as dry then though…
George Ruper should recall…
We took him into this country…on the motorcycle depicted here. (Dick’s Honda Goldwing is in the shop so why not lend-out a mount?
Our resident FBI Agent-type…
He brought up the rear and was trolling for bees, quite successfully was his lament.
Larry stripped-down while on the bridge….
Larry stripped-down while on the bridge…. Larry has a ‘big head’, bee stings will do that!
Stewarts Point- Healdsburg Hwy.
Stewarts Point- Healdsburg Hwy. George, remember?
Major Wobble sweeps…
off of Tin Barn and onto Kings Ridge, the highpoint for this ride. Funny looking Beemer, no?
It’s suspected that he just appears ‘slow’…
Truth is he probably stops to polish the chrome after every third turn!
Yes Dick, it’s quite a road…
Kings Ridge - Dick Zunkel on a damn fine motor!
Dick, not having his Goldwing..
preferred to be photographed with something from Nippon.
