Thursday’s ride was planned by our Captain for his birthday. I suspect some were kept from joining us due to the copious amounts of rain early Thursday morning. Their loss. Even though there was drenching rain at 6 AM the sky was trying to turn blue when I left my house in San Mateo about 7:30. The ride was dry. Not a drop of rain. None. Zero. Zip. Zilch.
The ride took us north to Cazadero, up King Ridge to Tin Barn, then
east on Stewart Point-Skaggs Creek Rd with a stop at Lake Sonoma.
Total ride was somewhere around 250 miles. Mostly great. The ride to
Novato for breakfast could have been better. The Great Highway was
closed forcing more traffic on 19th ave. There was a stalled vehicle at
the entrence to Golden Gate Park making matters worse. I think I could
have walked 19th ave faster than I rode.
