Three for breakfast at the 3-Zero Cafe in Half Moon Bay. Two for the ride, however, as Rob Hyman is still a tax paying working guy. We missed you Rob! Dick Zunkel showed WWWobble the Point Montara Lighthouse, another landmark WWWobble has passed for years without stopping. Lovely grounds, we even put a contribution into the mouth of the Screamer.
Then it was WWWobble’s turn to show the Zunkel something new. How about a short hike out to the Burleigh H. Murray ranch just outside H.M.B. Built in 1857 and featuring the Mills Barn, constructed using some rare Italian method – but we never made it there. It was hot. And these boots weren’t made for walking. And my estimate of a quarter mile hike was a touch on the short side. We’ll put in on the schedule for a spring Ride ‘n Hike when the grass is greener and the air is cooler. It’s about a 1 mile trek from the lot to the barn. Worth it? I dunno…
Then, a refreshing coastal ride to Pescadero, a loop back for chocolate at the San Gregorio Mercantile, then a return to the coast for Davenport, up to Bonny Doon, into Boulder Creek (the town, not the creek), and 9 over the hill and home. Good way to spend a warm, almost hot day in November.
