Mid-Week Rides: Fremont Peak to Moss Landing
Eight riders, one who’d never ridden with the group before
(Hi Dave!) and another playing hooky from work took the first mid-week
ride of the new year in near 70 degree temps. Ok, it was a bit breezy at
the top of Fremont Peak. That was more than made up by the downright
hot temps in Moss Landing where we stopped for lunch.
Let it be known that the leg from Fremont Peak to Moss Landing was led
by Major WWWobble. While it looked to some that he had us going both
directions on San Miguel road at different times the map of the track
log (bottom of the page) says otherwise. Zoom in around marker 12 to
see what I’m talking about.
The ride was about 225 miles from garage to garage for me, more or less
for others. My bike now needs a service. Hope it stays warm in the
garage until it’s done. I’d hate to miss the next mid-week ride.
