Mid-Week Rides: Lunch in Santa Cruz

Major WWWobble called me about 9:45 asking if I wanted to join he and the Captain for a ride to lunch in Santa Cruz leaving about 10:30. Hmmmm, fix garden lights or go on a ride. Decisions, decisions. I made the correct decision.
We left a little later than planned as the Captain was late… something about a plumbing leak and hardware stores not having the needed part to stop the leak. The leak can apparently wait. A ride to lunch calls. Major WWWobble picked our destination restaurant; Linda’s Seabreeze Cafe. Good call. The Major not only picked the restaurant, he led the way there and picked up the check, too!
After lunch we headed straight up the coast. I was leading when we passed the CHP shooting radar. 58 in a 55 didn’t get his attention. We made one stop to shoot some pictures of a colorful field just south of Davenport.
I was home by 3:30. Nice ride.
