  I think it might be a heat issue. The bike might get the starter hotter
than in the Saturn car. Just a guess. I've never hear problems with Saturn
starters and they really are the same (except the spin the other way)

Interesting, I had  a Saturn coupe for over 60,000 miles and I never
had a problem with the starter or any other part of the car.
