East Tennessee Ride Sunday January 4th

For the record:

Jim's Motorcycle Shop in Johnson City, TN will be hosting its annual Ride to 
the Roan this weekend. This ride from the shop on Market Street in Johnson 
City (aka US 11E) to as close to the top of Roan Mountain as possible (some years 
the mountain is snowed in) has been going on for something like 40 or more 
years.  One rider goes out ahead of everyone else and records his time by 
whatever route and whatever speed he wants to use. Prizes are awarded to the first 
few folks that finish closest to his time without going quicker. Always good 
food and snacks provided but even better camaraderie to be had. Ride starts 
around 1:00 p.m.
