How many 200,000 mile R1's are there out there? >>>
None. They get wrecked, trans. blows up one too many times,
something new and better comes along... before you know it,
you have an old "tired" bike sitting on the back porch
rusting. Usually a part that is broken costs 1/2 or more
than the bike is worth. Replacing 2nd gear for the 3rd time
gets to be a pain in the ass, so the bike sits.
Young kids ride these bikes mostly. One too many (more like
100 too many) wheelies, accidents, flipped over wrecked
bikes, no insurance, reality hits you can't afford a new
bike, so you take up fishing. Engine mileage doesn't usually
come into play it is the kind of bike, how and how you ride
it. R1's are in the class of driving it like you want to
kill it. Most do kill bikes like these, but is it the engine
that holds up the show? I doubt it.
