Yeah, mine has been doing this for almost two years. I've spent
about $450 on diagnosis and parts at the dealer. His next
suggestion was to replace the brain for about a zillion dollars.
I can live without it.

Subject: Weird ABS Behavior

Since my ABS was 'fixed' (front sensor replaced) and my tranny
rebuilt in
September, I've had several 'hard' ABS faults. It happens when
first
starting to move the bike. I'll hear a grinding noise at very
low speed
(during the ABS self check, I imagine) and there will be the hard
fault. It
happened quite often on my trip down and back to SouFL over the
holidays.
On the way down, I had several right in a row. I gassed up and
started out.
Got grinding and hard fault. Parked and reset. Started out
again and got
another hard fault. Very frustrating.

Anyone ever hear of this??
