Davis,
Thanks for the link. Purchasing new shocks will have to be for next season
for me. On May 6th I am leaving for a trip of min. 3 weeks so for this
season the OME shocks will have to stay attached to the bike.
We'll start the trip by riding to the Blue Ridge first and continue through
the Smoky Mountain South then turn West. Since you are in that area I'd
like to ask you about the weather you're having now and what is expectable
in the first week of May????????
I was on the Blue Ridge once on Oct. 31st-Nov.4, we were lucky the weather
was great. Second time with my son in May. It was nice on the Skyline
except for dears. At one point six of them were standing on the road. On
the Blue Ridge we ran into such fog that being a few feet behind my son I
can hardly see his tail lights. We communicated by CB radios and agreed to
get off the Ridge. Next morning was the same. We took the HWY to Cherokee
and did the gap, the 129 and a bit of the Smoky. It was nice then.
