you are absolutely correct, this is one specific model which has it's price
drop like a rock.  buying used is really the way to go so you don't end up
taking the stupendous price drop.  i'd be checking the FAQ's on the f650
list as there was a FI update issue with models of a specific vintage, can't
remember when this was supposidly fixed by bmw.
