Although I just bent the end of the cable and the original connector on 
my  '94 R11RS, it would probably be worth it to just get the adapter. 
What the heck?....they'll last the life of the bike.

My first replacement battery was a black panther. I've since replaced 
it with an Odyssey, which fits the same as the panther.

FYI...there's lot's of PC 680's for sale on eBay. Most of them have a 
"buy now" price between $54 and $60 with $10-$12 shipping fee. The 
metal jacket version isn't necessary and just makes the already tight 
fit even tighter.
