When I take things apart that are not intimately familiar to me, I wrap 
hoses with pieces of masking tape and mark them with a marking pen so 
that the two that go together both have the same mark, like "A", or "B", 
etc.  This way, I do not have to rely on my lousy memory. When 
reassembling, I put A to A and B to B, etc.  This is what I did with my 
R1100RS.  The paper masking tape is easy to tear off as you go along, too.
