Re: Tires for R1150RT

I ordered my first set from my BMW Dealer, and subsequent sets from two
different discount tire dealers with whom I did not discuss the bike model
on which they would be used. I just ordered them by size. The tires were all
marked identically, and so I'll assume I have been buying "regular" BT-020s.
Another welcome thing about the BT-020s that is seldom mentioned but of
benefit to the home mechanic is the ease of installation. Some tires, like
the Metzeler Tourance tires I run on my GS, are a real bear to mount, while
others, the BT-020s especially, are noticeably easier.
