RE: oilheads-digest V1 #329

I've tried Z4's, D220's, BT010/020's, and Z6's. Z4's are great when
they're new, but get a little weird after about 50% wear. The D220's
felt great right up until the tread was toast; the problem was that
happened way too soon. I had great luck with the BT010 front/BT020 rear
combo. The front wears out a little faster than the rear but the
overall performance was excellent. I think I kept them on the bike for
about 7000 miles and could have gone a bit further but a long trip was
coming up and I wanted to start with fresh tires. The rear could have
easily made it to 10K, but the front was looking pretty bare on the
sides.

I've since moved on to the Z6's. With 3500 miles on them they look like
they have a lot of miles left. Stickiness, braking, and wet road
performance are excellent. And the most important trait, "feel" is
outstanding. I have to say the Bridgestones felt a bit numb by
comparison. I'll buy the Z6's again.
