Re: speedometer on stirke



This happened to me too. In my case the plastic gear in the front hub, which drives the cable, sheared off.  I had to buy the whole unit, It took about 3 weeks to get it from Germany and cost CAN $100.- approx.

  Mark,  Thats the standard speedo cable failure.  Pretty easy to replace 
  the cable at home.  Just be careful at the wheel attachment to look out 
  for the tabs that engage the turning wheel hub.  You also want to clean 
  out the drive gear and grease it while you're in there.
