  I'll take you up on your advice offer.

 I've got a 2000 R1150GS. I'm not Jimmy Lewis; so, I fall down frequently in 
the dirt. I'm not Ahhnold Schwartzanegger; therefore, I have a difficult time 
picking the beast up. Sooo, I'm gonna quit fooling myself about my off-road 
prowess and put touring tires on the behemoth for a forthcoming trip to Mexico 
with the esposa. 

 What tires give good handling (I am no Ricky Racer) in various riding 
environments and decent mileage?
