Front end rattle

There are only two things this could be. One is pads rattling inside the
calipers. If you have stock pads, this is unlikely, but not impossible.
The second is very common. The front discs ride on little barrels. The
barrels wear down over time increasing the clearance. The discs will rattle
on the wheels. Replace these barrels and the sound will go away. It
doesn't hurt anything, however, to leave them rattling.
The test for this is to go hit some bumps with the front brakes slightly
engaged. If you don't hear the noise, it's one of the two items mentioned
above. Both should noises should go away while the brakes are on.
I think you will like the new K series whether or not you isolate the cause
of this noise.
