Front shock issues or tire issue, or somethinge else?

Greg, Nothing to figure out here. If your bike has 54k on it (miles or kilometers!) your shock is junk. I'm amazed when anyone gets this kind of mileage from the oem shock. Replace it now. Check the other front end components like wheel bearings, and ball joints while your looking that the front. You will be shocked ;-)) at the way the bike works after this service.

Okay I'm thinking my front shock is dead but I could be very wrong

Bike is a 2002 R1150R with 54K miles on it.

8K miles ago I changed out the rear shock for an olins but didn't touch the front shock.

Recently I've noticed when turning at slower speeds I'm having to muscle the bike through the turns. Also the bike has become very bouncey (more then normal I think).

The front tire has about 10K on it but I usually get 14K and it doesn't look like it has a large flat spot worn yet.

Granted my steering problem may be unrelated to the tire or shock.

If I can't figure it out myself, it will go into the shop next week or so.

  thanks for any help.
