I agree with Tom on all counts except the part about Speigler being the 
best. I sell both Speigler and Galfer stainless braided lines so I have no 
reason to be dishonest when I say I prefer the Galfer lines. They are also 
less expensive.

You can get your information from Tom if you wish,  then you can also ping 
me off list and I'll tell you about Galfer which also are coated and 
adjustable, and available in all the different ways that the Spiegler lines 
are except for one important difference.

The truth is, lots of different companies are making this product the same 
way now. They're all using similar ends, with DOT boots, etc. I visited many 
of them at the Dealer trade show last February. There are few differences 
between the quality hose manufacturers these days unless you drop below a 
certain level where you get uncoated hoses and non-adjustable ends. Any 
merchant who knows what he's doing would not sell such stuff because of the 
problems Tom noted.
