I had that problem ones. The overflow line, in the tank, at it's connection
was cracked. A constant dtipping out of the over-flow's hose was noticed
under the bike.
There was another problem when the BMW dealership replaced hoses inside the
tank whith the wrong hoses. During the repair of the first problem, as
above, I've noticed that the other hoses were swollen 3 times to their
original diameter. They were not gas-resistant hoses.
Tom Brown's advice should be taken seriously.

Do I read this right, the leakage is from the end of the hose which is
fitted
over the filter output barb? If so I concur with Clive, it sounds like the
fuel line is simply a bit too big inside diameter--if so it should be an
easy
fix.
Clive's other suggestions are good too.
