On the '94 RS, after trying many differentype of tires I landed up liking theBridgestone BT-020s front and back. These tires gave me the best all around service for long tours, like Montreal-Los Angeles return. I have no experience in newer tires. Of course today, having the BMW rear wheel 17" dia. instead 18" as mine is, finding tires is much easier.

I need to buy tires for my 2008 R1200RT.  I am looking at the Metzler
Roadtec Z6 Interacts, anyone have any experience with these.  My local
dealer sells them and indicated it would run about $ 400 mounted and
balanced.  Does this sound about right?  I read on another forum that
there are special ratings and they need to be matched.  Any thoughts
or observations?
