Tom Cutter politely corrected a factual error in my post.

The sentence:

"Reg Pridmore rode [an R90S] to victory in Daytona against a field of Japanese 4-cylinder machines"

Should be amended as follows:

"In 1976 Steve McLaughlin and Reg Pridmore's R90Ss took 1-2 victories in Daytona over Cook Neilson's 3rd place Ducati and a field of Ducs, Guzzis, and Japanese (predominantly Kawasaki) 4-cylinder machines"
