Painting (Oct/Nov)
I contacted my painter the end of July to make sure he’d be available when the construction was done using an estimate of the start of October. I called him when everything but the floor was done in September. He said things were still OK for October. I called in October and got excuses about a delayed project. I called later in Oct and he said he could now schedule me. Uhhhh… scheduling is what I thought I’d done in July! I said thanks but no, thanks. I’d get someone else.
I then called the painter who did my office. He was here the next day and started the day after that. Much better.

wallpaper fully removed in hallway
The first painting project is removal of kitty scratched wallpaper in the entry way and hall way. The paper in the hallway came off easy, but the entry way was another story. It took a full day just to do one wall.

The first coat of paint went on quick. We’re using a textured paint. The wall between the kitchen/family room and the living room is getting the same color as that on the wall between the family room and dining room. The entry way and hall way are different.
The textured paint is a bitch to put on without getting visable lines. A batch of bad paint didn’t help. The living room and family room wall took 5 coats to get right.
