Dry Rot!

There is dry rot on the facia over the garage, the column in the front, the exterior stairs to the master bedroom, and the eaves of the pool house. It isn’t going to fix itself.

Turns out that all three columns were decorative, with one hiding a structural 4x4 that holds up the roof covering the entrance way. That 4x4 was about 1/3 rotted through at the base! The ugly columns are gone. We think the 4x4 support (once it is painted) will look much better.
