It looks like demolition is done. Current code requires two main drains* (there was only one in the pool) a certain distance apart. The one central drain in the poll were turned into two. The hot tub had two drains, but they were too close together. One of them was moved.

* They are not really drains, but intakes to the pump. Water direction is
[pool or hot tub] -> pump -> filter -> heater -> [pool or hot tub]
There are two valves that let me select between pool and hot tub for both intake and return.

The power cables to the pool lights are in sad shape. We’ll replace the lights with LED units.

The tile we picked

Around the hot tub

We were given a catalog with pictures of tiles of various colors, paterns, sizes, materials, etc. This is what we picked. Glossy, 6” tiles in a cobalt blue with small amounts of other colors that we thought would look good around the wooden pool cover bench, the stone of the pool deck, etc.
