and of course don't forget, this minimal share of the market that ducati has
is in large part due to their risk taking behavior.  they are never
satisfied with a design, an engine, performance or any thing else.  yes they
are wedded to the desmo, just as bmw is tied to the boxer,  but look at the
difference between them and bmw.  taking a beautiful 916, evolving it to the
999 is what risk is all about.  ducati's are works of art produced by people
in love with the industry.  i think that used to describe bmw as well,
probably pre oilheads and bricks.  oh well, time marches on.
