I do not believe there is a published torque value for the brake callipers
themselves (at least by BMW) - they are Not Recommended to be split.
Regarding torquing in general, having wrenched and serviced all my own
vehicles (and more - who haven't shepherded children into adulthood) since
around 1958 I also use apropriate torque wrenches all the time even to the
extent that, even though I could easily quote many of the torque figures, I
still look most of them up every time I use them...
