	I remember hearing there was a bunch of bad castings in with the pulleys(?). I dough you'll see an off road bike with a belt
either.

I believe the article detailing the problem with pictures was in a BMWON about a year ago.  The pulley actuall shattered..  Do not
tink its a problem on street driven bikes though but doubt you'll ever see a belt on a GS.......
