Have you considered a Works Performance shock with their dual-spring
'ARS' feature? Very effective and makes quick pre-load adjustments (i.e.
to accommodate a passenger, camping gear etc.) very easy, even easier
than the original BMW system. The Works units are very well made and no
less expensive than the Ohlins, but even so IMO you still get a lot more
for your money.
