Statements like this are why you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet. 

Sorry Tom, but this is bad advice - you don't know the person or their bike, so sweeping statements like these that may be true for you personally because of your own situation and knowledge of your own bike may be the worst possible course of action for someone else.
