New Shocks for R1100RS

Last year I bottomed the rear suspension on a bump and broke my bag mount.  
The bag is fixed but it is time to change the shocks.  I'm leaning towards 
Ohlins, but are they really the best or just the highest priced? Are there 
any good deals out there?  I haven't been getting any good hits doing 
internet searches.  Do all aftermarket shocks require 12,000 mile rebuilds?
