Nail catching curtain; vintage meet

Recently took TWO nails out of my rear tire (R1100S, Metzeler Z4). Nice
that the tire held the air as well as it did.
The tire guy said that front tires throw nails at rear tires and
t'would be good to have a curtain, long fenda-extenda, or something
installed between.
Now I want to figure out how to make a nail-blocking curtain somewhere
between the front tire and the rear tire. Maybe added to the
shock-protector thingy (the way Wunderlich create their megadollar
carbon fiber protector) or screwed just below into the swingarm
assembly?
Any advice welcome.
June 18 is the main day for the big annual Canadian vintage meet at
Paris (Ontario... near London... near Woodstock). A special BMW
meet-and-park area is being created. It is a major destination of BMW
riders and always wonderful to see Vincents, old beemers, etc.
Cheers.
