There is an Isle of Man TT clone race taking place on Cape Breton
Island, Nova Scotia, in September called "The Festival of Speed."

A lot of the R1100S boy-racers are quite excited by the prospect and
are booking rooms in Sydney, the nearest city-like location.
I'd just like to add a few words of my own if anybody has a visit in
mind.
If you miss riding the Cabot Trail... you'll regret it. Be sure to do
it counter-clockwise. The whole "island" is dramatically scenic and
wonderful for biking as any past visitor can attest. The seasons are
retarded and so September is wonderful to visit and with fewer tourists
hogging the roads. But don't expect summer weather, even in summer.
Baddeck is the real center of gravity of the region and home of the A.
G. Bell museum (kites and hydrofoils), lots of rooms after Labour Day,
and good eats. The scoot over the mountains between Baddeck and Sydney
will thrill you as many times as you do it.
As far as Sydney goes, if you like Erie, PA or Gary, IN, you'll love
Sydney (sorry, dinner limited to the "Maple Plank Salmon" at the
Delta). But if you like Williamsburg, VA, you'll love nearby Fortress
of Louisbourg.
Sadly, the locale for the race is pretty dull and scruffy, certainly by
CBI standards. On the other hand, Sydney is a lot closer than Baddeck
to Newfoundland.
Cheers.
