The right head gasket on my 98 R850R started to leak oil at 16000 kms. I
re-tensioned the head as per instructions for the 1000km service and the
leak stopped and hasn't re-occurred (now 29000 kms). The left head started
to weep about 1000 kms later and that was also fixed, apparently
permanently, by re-tensioning.
