John,

I've been trying to find a tire that gives good performance AND reasonable mileage. I've used D205s, D220s, Z6s, BT020s, Z4s, and Road Attacks. All delivered 4800-5400 miles on the rear. The fronts would have gone 1-3K miles more but I always changed both. The D220s were markedly inferior to any of the others, no feel at all, worst mileage and were noisy. The front cupped very badly. The BT020s felt alittle wooden; again, the front cupped. The Z6 is easier to turn in than any of the others and had much less tendency to stand the bike up under braking when leaned over. The Road Attacks had good feel, good ride and didn't cup; nice tire.
I tried to find ME880 radials in the RT sizes but couldn't locate any last week and went with Michelin Road Pilots instead. I only have a few hundred miles on them. So far, I like them. They feel more like the Road Attacks than the Z6s.
