After breakfast at Fred’s in Saucalito (Ok food, but expensive and not much seating for a large group – good thing there were only six of us) Neil led the riders to the Marin Headlands. After looping through the parking lot at Fort Cronkhite Neil headed for the tunnel. I took a right to go up to Battery Mendell. The rest of the riders followed.
I was hoping to get a picture of the DR in front of the remains of the battery but a guard wouldn’t let us park there. Some kind of filming is going on and parking is reserved for the film crew. I’ll have to grab that picture some time in the future.
We parked at the lot a short walk away and spent some time admiring the views.
