Harry sent out an email message to the mailing list on Wednesday asking if anyone wanted to meet at Bobbi’s off of de Anza in Cupertino for Thanksgiving breakfast. Russ said he’d meet Harry after breakfast. I met Harry at the restaurant. It was only the two of us for breakfast.
After breakfast Russ met us a bit latter than planned. The shift lever on his guzzy broke in his driveway and he had to change bikes. Once together we took off to ride up Pierce to Mt Eden, Harry’s plan. He rode right by Mt Eden. About a mile down the road he realized he missed the turn. We turned around and rode back. Harry missed the turn again. I didn’t follow him this time and made the turn then pulled over to wait for Harry to do yet another u-turn. Third time was the charm.
Old men can’t wait
There are some things that old guys just cant pass up. We made a quick stop at the facilities off of Alpine Rd. This was a first time visit for Russ. He did not know these bathrooms were there.
Closed for Thanksgiving
The next stop was Alice’s. It was closed, of course. The store was open. Not much business, though. We were the only three bikes in the parking lot.
Coffee hand warmer
No bikes here
After a bit the three of us headed in different directions. Harry and I headed home using the most direct routes. Russ said he was going to head toward the coast.
I hope all had a pleasant Thanksgiving.
