Alberto’s write-up of the campout can be found on his site. Check it out then come back to this page for some more pictures.
There were 8 for breakfast at the Cozy Cup. Russ joined us for breakfast and a short part of the ride before turning home. The surprise was Pete. He arrived on a new KTM 790 that he’d picked up the night before. I believe he said the bike had 11 miles on the odometer when he left his house in the morning. The rest of the group was Carl, Tom, Chris, Harry, Alberto, and Marc.
As is usual with the SMBC different people did different things on different times and days. Pete could only spend one night. He broke camp Friday morning then spent the rest of the morning riding some of the forest service roads with Marc before stopping for lunch at Hume Lake. Marc went back to camp; Pete headed home.
We did enjoy 3 good evening campfires and one good morning fire, too. Good roads. Not too hot (max of low 90s on the way home). Not too cold (39 about 7:30 Friday morning).
