The 1100S intake duct is inconceivably constricted and the air filter
inconceivably tiny. Like the bumblebee, a wonder it flies at all let
alone so well.
There are two pricey aftermarket units - a very nice one from "Lennie"
in Austraiia which is carbon fiber and the other from San Jose BMW.
But in a few hours, you can easily Dremel out the worst of three
constrictions and re-shape with fiberglass. Hard to think of a home mod
which is easier to do, cheaper, or has less of a down side in case of
goofs.
Of course if you are aiding the breathing, you should get a Techlusion
1031 to enrichen the mixture in the event you don't have this wonderful
gizmo already.
Cheers.
