I don't have an R1100R, but I once had a Ducati ST4. It has a windscreen
that does exactly what yours does. It throws a lot of wind at the bottom of
my helmet making my bike really loud. I solved it with a SHORTER windscreen.
It made a huge improvement. I don't think add-ons will solve this problem of
your. Either get a big touring windscreen, like an Aeroflow, that will flow
the air over you or go with a "sport" windscreen that will throw the wind at
your chest instead of at your neck and head.
It was easy to find a sport windscreen for the ST4...It's a Ducati. BMWs
may be a little more difficult. If you can't find a sport windshield from
Aeroflow or Cee Bailey's, try Googling BMW Motorcycle Windscreens and go from
there. There are a lot of sources out there are less expensive than the guys
we know about and have good quality.

>I get alot of turbulent flow over the top of the windshield and it hits
me in the top half of my helmet... Makes everything sound like I'm on
the space shuttle (which is kind of cool, but probably not good for the
ear drums). Ear plugs help on the long rides, but I'd be happy to do
without them. I thought about removing the windshield altogether but its
handy to duck behind in the rain and this is also massive-bug season.
>Soooo... can anyone recommend a good extra lip to add on the windshield,
or some other solution? That link Pascal just posted has some nice ones,
but nothing specifically for the R/R.
