My R850R has the OEM screen. I'm 6'1", have the seat at the highest setting
and the buffeting hits my helmet at about nose level. The buffeting is not
strong enough to be felt but it makes a huge noise and riding above 80km/h
without earplugs is not an option - even if I wanted to risk hearing damage
the noise is just too loud to tolerate. In an attempt to quieten things I
added a laminar lip to the screen. That raised the turbulence to the top of
my helmet where it is much quieter, but excessively violent and tugs at my
head with some force. This is obviously also intolerable for any length of
time, so I removed the lip and ride with earplugs.
