This is Joe Groeger in 1999 scoping out the condition of the large bearing from the rear-end of a 1966 BMW R69S. It’s an example of the type of things that used to happen on Saturday mornings at Joe’s shop – Groeger Special Tooling. (He found indications of pitting on the race – the bearing was replaced).

Friends of Joe (Joachim) Groeger are gathering to celebrate Joe’s 95th. Come and have some pastry & coffee with Joe and his assorted friends Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 PM.
This will be at the Cocola Bakery just down the street from Joe’s shop, the address is 2810 Bay Rd in Redwood City.
