Re: main beam / dipped beam

The condition to which you refer is definitely "outstanding"!
We watch enough American movies that taken in context I am sure the
expression "high beam" would be understood.
In general we would not use "main beam" to refer to this state of arousal.
We spell colour like this.
Thanks for the interest.

Jim

Interesting expression, couldn't figure out what you were talking about from
the heading.

we Refer them to High and Low beams.. probably not any more descriptive than
main and dipped are.

now one question if I may...when a girl is showing thru her blouse we refer
to her having her high beams on.

Do you guys refer to that as having her main beams on?

A bit off the subject but an interesting study in how language is used
locally thru out the world..

sorry if anyone considers it "off Colour" (is that how you spell color
also?)

Hi Jim,
We still have to arrange that meeting!

Our arrangement is different to most US bikes (which are always ON).

I suggest first just try exercising the on/off switch (RH side) vigourously
a few times and that should do the trick.
