Checking flywheel run-out
Oh No!
As seen in the pictures I mounted the flywheel and then checked the runout. The specifications call for no more than 0.10 mm (0.004”) but I’ve got nearly 0.5 mm (0.020”). The culprit is likely a tweaked crank. You may remember that I screwed up the crank installation the first time I tried back in March. It is quite possible that I tweaked the crank at that time. So now I get to pull the crank again and see if it has been tweaked and get it fixed if that’s the problem.
I did not document removing the crank for the third time. I used the same procedures I documented back in January. I’m getting better at it. It goes faster each try.
