Printing a socket/bit holder
I’m tired of rumaging around zip lock baggies for sockets and other tool bits that I keep on my motorcycles. The socket/bit that I want/need is never one of the first 3 or 4 I pull out of the bag. To that end I’m printing some socket/bit holders. I tried several designs that didn’t work and/or easily broke. This basic design seems to work well.
Variation of the same design in use
The holder being printed are for the 5 bits in the second row. When that is done I’ve got a bunch of other sockets/bits to get organized. I tailor the design to fit each set of bits. The design used in the first row fits six bits with a body 12 mm in diameter. The in-progress print will fit 5 bits with a 16.5 mm diameter body.
I think this is going to make finding the tool I need a bit easier.
